Scope and purpose

moduLab's single purpose is to analyze the tonal center of audio from a YouTube or YouTube Music tab that you explicitly select and to let you apply real-time pitch and formant processing to that tab. moduLab does not access your microphone.

Audio and website content

moduLab uses Sonance (LH) for tonal analysis. Sonance analyzes selected-tab audio entirely on your device inside the extension. Selected-tab audio is not transmitted to moduLab or any remote analysis service.

The extension observes the selected tab's video identifier, title, URL, playback position, duration, pause, seek and navigation state, and whether an ad is playing. This information is handled locally to control the selected media, keep analysis aligned with playback, avoid analyzing ads, and reuse a result for the same track.

Data stored on your device

Chrome local storage may contain:

• extension settings;
• selected video identifiers and titles;
• derived tonal-center results and analysis coverage.

PCM audio is kept only in memory during an active analysis session and is not written to persistent storage. Local data remains until you clear the extension's data or uninstall the extension.

Accounts, remote services, and disclosures

This release does not require or create a moduLab account, does not use Google sign-in, and does not send selected-tab audio or extension data to moduLab servers.

moduLab does not sell user data, use user data for advertising, or permit humans to listen to captured audio. Data is not transferred for unrelated purposes. It may be disclosed only when required by law, needed to protect the service and users, or as part of a merger or acquisition subject to this policy.

Security and your choices

All tonal analysis and audio processing performed by this release occur locally inside the Chrome extension. You control processing by selecting a supported tab and starting or stopping moduLab.

You may ask privacy questions by emailing info@imgapps.net. You can remove locally stored extension data through Chrome or by uninstalling the extension.
